Nordsjaelland extend contract with Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi until 2030

Danish Superliga side FC Nordsjaelland have confirmed that talented Ghanaian midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi has signed a new contract extension, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2030

The 19-year-old, a product of Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy, has become one of Nordsjaelland’s most promising young players since making his senior debut. He has already made 29 league appearances and earned six international caps for the Black Stars.

Announcing the extension, Nordsjaelland’s football director Alexander Riget commended Yirenkyi’s remarkable progress and professional attitude, describing him as one of the best midfielders in the Danish top flight.

“Through a fantastic mentality and hard work every single day, Caleb has developed excellently over the past year and established himself as one of the best midfielders in the Superliga. Therefore, we have chosen to reward him with a new contract,” Riget said.

Although the new agreement extends his stay by only six months from 2029 to 2030— it underscores the club’s long-term faith in his abilities and commitment to his continued development.

Yirenkyi has featured 12 times so far this season, impressing with his energy, composure, and creative presence in midfield. His performances have cemented his place as a vital part of the Nordsjaelland setup.

The extension also reinforces the strong partnership between FC Nordsjaelland and Ghana’s Right to Dream Academy, a collaboration that has produced several top Ghanaian talents who continue to excel in European football.
