30 people were killed after a bomb was dropped by a military jet during a Maulud celebration in Tudun Biri, in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident happened on Sunday at around 9 p.m.
According to residents, the bomb exploded during a gathering to commemorate Maulud in the village.
When pressed for details, Samuel Aruwan, the Overseeing Commissioner of the State Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, refused to provide the death toll.
During a press conference at Government House, Aruwan stated that the government plans to make the information public. He said,
“We will address the press at Government House on the situation because there would be a security meeting later. Let us convene by 10 a.m.
