NDC Primaries: Check out who won in the Western Region

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has held its presidential and parliamentary primaries on Saturday, May 13, 2023.

The election was held nationwide with the Western Region not exempted. In the Western Region, elections at four constituencies including Mpohor, Amenfi East, Tarkwa Nsuean and Evalue Ajomoro Gwira were put hold.

The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah lost his seat during the elections.

Hon Kwakye-Ackah lost the parliamentary primaries to business mogul Joana Gyan Cudjoe who is also the wife of Keche Joshua of Keche Music Group fame.

Joana Gyan Cudjoe amassed 756 votes to win the election over Peter Yaw Kwakye-Ackah who bagged 575 votes.

Other contestants were Paul Appiah who had 73 votes while Dr Karl Mark Arhin and Elijah Jones Appiah had 39 and 2 votes respectively.
