Ghana Premier league heavyweight, Asante Kotoko have parted ways with assistant coach Johnson Smith.
The 53-year old joined Kotoko in October 2019 on a two-year deal after guiding Karela United to the finals of the Normalization Committee Special Competition.[ads2]
Smith assisted Norwegian coach Kjetil Zachariassen before Maxwell Konadu took over.
He is departing Kotoko after the expiration of his contract.[ads3]
He became the interim head coach of Kotoko in December 2020 before the appointment of Portuguese trainer Mariano Barreto as substantive coach.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko have appointed David Ocloo and John Eduafo as first and second assistant coaches to new head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum.[ads5]
