Asante Kotoko head coach Maxwell Konadu has recalled Malian international Mamadou Kouyate.

The 27-year old had his three-year contract with Kotoko terminated after being declared surplus to requirements.
But Kumasi based Light FM, have reported that newly appointed Kotoko gaffer Maxwell Konadu has recalled the player for assessment before deciding on his future with the club.

According to the report, Kouyate will train with Kotoko at the Adako Jachie this afternoon before the final decision from Maxwell Konadu.
Mamadou Kouyate joined Asante Kotoko on a three-year deal after short stints with fellow premiership side Elmina Sharks.

Since joining the Porcupine Warriors in July this year, Kouyate has failed to make a competitive debut leading to his initial sack from the team.
He was part of Elmina Sharks squad during the just ended NC Special Competition.
