The Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed why the club signed Brazilian midfielder Fabio Dos Santos Gama.
According to Nana Yaw Amponsah, Asante Kotoko signed Fabio Gama as the direct replacement for former player Matthew Anim Cudjoe who is currently with Legon Cities FC.[ads2]
“Fabio Gama is the replacement of Anim Cudjoe because we couldn’t afford Anim Cudjoe”, Nana Yaw Amponsah told Oyerepa FM.
But since the signing of Fabio Gama in October this year as a free agent, the Brazilian is yet to make his debut for Asante Kotoko.[ads3]
Many, particularly Asante Kotoko supporters have been wondering what may be the reason for Fabio Gama’s continuous exclusion from the team’s match day squad.
Though fitness issue is one of the reasons why Fabio Gama has not been able to make his debut for Asante Kotoko but what came in the news is that the player is yet to get his working permit.
But Nana Yaw Amponsah has revealed that Fabio Gama has gotten his working permit and may be available for selection in Asante Kotoko matches.[ads4]
