John Paintsil assigned new role at Wa All Stars

Former Ghanaian international John Paintsil has been assigned new role at Wa All Stars ahead of the upcoming league season.

The 38-year old was relieved off his role as the head coach of the club following his failure to meet the GFA Club Licensing Board requirements which has clearly been stipulated that any premier league coach should boast of CAF License A certificate of which Paintsil is yet to have one.

The former Ghana Premier League champions have appointed Bosnian-German international Goran Barjaktarevic as their new head coach for the upcoming league season.

However, John Paintsil has been assigned the position of a scout at Wa All Stars after successful discussions with the management of the team.

The Northern Blues have had their home ground Madina Zongo Park rejected by the Club Licensing Board and have to choose a different in about few days to the start of the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season.

Wa All Stars will open the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season against Liberty Professionals at the Dansoman Park.
