Former Asante Kotoko striker Ahmed Simba Toure has added his voice on the club signing Brazilian midfielder Fabio Dos Santos Gama.
Fabio Gama has joined Asante Kotoko on a two-year deal as a free agent but yet to kick a ball for the Porcupines.[ads2]
Though he has commenced training with the Ghana Premier League record holders, Fabio Gama was excluded from the team’s squad for the CAF Champions League tie against Nouadhibou FC in Mauritania.
Sharing his view on the signing of Fabio Gama, Ahmed Toure who was once a talisman for Asante Kotoko and had two spells with the team believes the signing of the Brazilian is useless.[ads3]
“We will pray for him because I have said that Ghana Premier League is not easy. It’s a game of ‘men’. But it also depends on the condition he will play in Ghana,” Toure told Energy FM
“I have seen pictures of the pitch Berekum Chelsea and Kotoko played on. Do you think he [Gama] can play on this kind of pitch? Or you take him to Dormaa, do you think he can play well over there? Are you sure he can play at Tarkwa? Sometimes these things matters.”[ads4]
“So for me, although Kotoko is my former team and it’s where I started my professional career but for me I think it is useless”, Toure added…[ads5]
