Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), President Akufo-Addo has finally spoken about the ongoing violence in Nigeria.
According to President Akufo-Addo, he has spoken to Nigeria President Buhari and the latter has begun processes to restore peace in the West African country.

This comes after several calls from people for the chairman of the ECOWAS to take actions on the ongoing police brutalities in Nigeria.

On his Twitter page, President Akufo-Addo wrote that, “I join all well-meaning persons in calling for calm, and the use of dialogue in resolving the #EndSARS impasse in Nigeria. I have spoken with President Buhari, who is committed to this end, and has begun the processes that will lead to reform.”

Meanwhile, ECOWAS have sent their condolences to the families who have lost their relatives from the brutalities ongoing in Nigeria.
