GOC Elections: Ben Nunoo Mensah retains seat, Frederick Acheampong and others win; Check full results

The 2021 Ghana Olympic Committee elections has been held successfully at the CISR Hall in Accra on Monday, March 15, 2021.

The elections which was to elect new executives for the Ghana Olympic Committee saw incumbent President Ben Nunoo Mensah retaining his seat for another term in office.

Mr. Mensah managed to pull 35 out of the total votes as against former General Secretary of the Federation Richard Akpokavie who was determined to snatch the seat from the incumbent. Akpokavie had 28 votes.[ads2]

Paul Atchoe from the Ghana Volleyball Association retained the first vice presidential seat with 36 votes as against competitor Mawuko Afadzinu from Ghana Table Tennis Association’s 26 votes.

Ace sportscaster and former Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold Sporting Club, Frederick Acheampong also won the treasurer position with 41 votes as against Christopher Essilfie’s 22.
