Great Olympics have given midfielder Gladson Awako the greenlight to join Hearts of Oak.
The experienced midfielder has been a top target for Hearts of Oak who are augmenting their squad for the next season’s CAF Champions League.[ads2]
According to Oyerepa FM, the Board Chairman of Great Olympics has held a crunch meeting with Awako ahead of the Hearts of Oak move, given the player his blessings, and the go-ahead to join their city rivals.
The former TP Mazembe midfielder has already agreed to a two-year deal, pending an agreement between the two clubs.
Awako has been a prime target for the reigning Ghana Premier league champions as they seek to bolster their squad for the next season’s CAF Champions League campaign.[ads3]
The 31-year old will have his contract with Great Olympics expiring in October this year after signing a year deal last year as a free agent.

Awako shone in the league with seven goals and assisted six in as many games and was awarded man of the match four times plus two player of the month awards.
His inclusion will strengthen the Hearts of Oak midfield that comprise of Benjamin Afutu, Emmanuel Nettey, Frederick Ansah Botchway and host of others.[ads5]
