Ghana’s Felix Afena-Gyan tests positive for Coronavirus

Ghanaian youngster, Felix Afena-Gyan has been ruled out of AS Roma league game against Bologna on Wednesday.

This was after the club announced that he has contracted the devastating disease during preparations for the epic game.[ads2]

A statement form AS Roma reads, “The club can confirm that, following the latest round of molecular testing involving the first team squad, forward Felix Afena-Gyan has returned a positive test for COVID-19.

“The relevant health authorities have immediately been informed.

“The player, who has been vaccinated, is doing fine and has now begun isolating at home.”[ads3]

Afena-Gyan stole the headlines last week after scoring a brace against Genoa in the Italian Serie A after climbing off the bench.

He is yet to make his international debut for Ghana after turning down an invitation for 2022 World Cup qualifying games against Ethiopia and South Africa.[ads5]
