Ghanaian goalkeeper Frederick Asare is currently in Durban, South Africa, for a 5-day observation period with Durban City FC, signaling a potential contract signing. This development comes shortly after the 26-year-old parted ways with Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko.
Asare, a proven shot-stopper, had a commendable last season with Asante Kotoko, keeping 7 clean sheets in 15 Premier League games. His consistent performances have not only caught the eye of Durban City but also other clubs.
The FA Cup winner was also reportedly offered to Rwandan club APR FC and Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars, indicating a wide interest in his services.
Should the observation period prove successful, Asare could be set to embark on a new chapter in his career in South African football. Fans will be keenly watching to see if this move materializes for the talented goalkeeper.
