FC Sheriff’s Edmund Addo gets maiden Black Stars call-up

FC Sheriff Tiraspol midfielder Edmund Addo has been handed his maiden Black Stars invitation.

The 21-year has been handed the invitation by Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac following his impressive form for FC Sheriff Tiraspol.[ads2]

Addo was part of 28-mam squad announced by the Ghana FA for 2022 World Cup qualifying games against Ethiopia and South Africa.

He has been a sensation for Moldova champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol in the local league and the UEFA Champions League.

Addo came into the limelight when he pocketed top stars like Luka Modric, Casemiro and Tony Kroos in UEFA Champions League where FC Sheriff Tiraspol managed to win the game 2:1 in Spain.

Addo made his Fortuna Liga debut for Senica against AS Trenčín on 16 February 2019.

He was fielded as a late replacement for Eric Ramírez, in an effor to salvage something out of this away fixture played in Myjava.[ads3]

Senica was two down after goals by  Čataković and Ubbink but Paur had struck a third goal, finalising the score of the match of to 3:0

He was announced as FC Sheriff Tiraspol player on July 14, 2021 and since then has been incredible for the team.
