The incumbent MP for Takoradi constituency, Hon. Kobby Okyere-Darko Mensah has retained the seat once again for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
Okyere-Darko Mensah who double as the Western Regional Minister heavily defeated NDC’s Frederick Faidoo to retain the seat for the next four years.[ads2]
He pulled 25,968 votes as against Frederick Faidoo’s 12,129 votes and Peter Essien of GUM who had 541 votes.[ads5]
