The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) amassed a gargantuan presidential votes in the Ashanti Region.
The Ashanti Region remains a stronghold of the NPP and accumulated a huge vote to defeat the leading opposition party, National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the region.[ads2]
The NPP flagbearer, President Akufo-Addo accumulated 1,795,824 votes in the Ashanti Region as against John Mahama’s 653,149.
