ECOWAS Chair, Akufo-Addo pressurized to take action on violence in Nigeria

Pressure has been mounted on the ECOWAS chairman, Akufo-Addo to take immediate action on police brutalities ongoing in Nigeria.

Many people have took to social media to call on the chairman of the ECOWAS to add his voice to the intense violence in the West African country which has led to lost of many lives.

Protesters of #EndSARS were reportedly attacked in Lagos by military personnel deployed by the Nigerian government to desist the protestors from expressing their grievances to the police brutalities ongoing in the country.

It is reported that about forty persons were shot dead by the military which triggered people calling on the leaders of the AU and ECOWAS to intervene.

The call on the leaders of the AU and ECOWAS particularly President Akufo-Addo to intervene has grew bigger after military personnel shot and attacked protesters at the Lekki tollbooth on Tuesday evening.
