Diego Forlan makes his professional tennis debut at the Uruguay Open

Former Manchester United and Uruguay striker Diego Forlan age 45 made his professional tennis debut at the Uruguay Open yesterday November 13th, 2024.

He lost in a doubles match with Federico Coria in Montevideo after receiving a wild card for the tournament.

Forlan won just three games before making his professional tennis debut aged at the Uruguay Open.

The 45-year-old alongside his Argentine partner Federico Coria, lost to Bolivian duo of Boris Arias and Federico Zeballos.

Forlan and his partner lost 6-1, 6-2 with. Despite the loss, Forlan stayed positive: “It was difficult, but I enjoyed it a lot,” he said.
