Ghana will face Algeria in 2021 pre-AFCON friendly on January 5, 2021 according to reports.
The Black Stars will face the Algerian national team in the friendly in Qatar’s capital Doha.[ads2]
The game is to serve as preparations for the 2021 AFCON which commences on January 9, 2022 in Cameroon.
According to reports, Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac will be naming a 26-man squad instead of 40 to pitch camp in Qatar with usual faces like Ayew, Mubarak Wakaso, Thomas Partey, Jordan Ayew and Daniel Amartey to be included.[ads3]
Four locally-based players are expected to be named in the squad with Asante Kotoko skipper Abdul Ganiyu, Dreams FC duo of Fatawu Issahaku and Philemon Baffour and Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Richard Attah rumoured to be the players to get the nod.
Ghana will open camp in Doha, Qatar on December 23. While in the Asian country, they will play three preparatory games.

Ghana has been pitched in a group with Morocco, Gabon and Comoros.
