Popular Takoradi-based sports broadcaster, Stephen Kwame Yeboah has gotten married to longtime girlfriend Wilhelmina Antoinette Bartels on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
The two love birds who have been dating for five years decided to take their relationship to the next level by walking down the aisle in a colourful ceremony at the Great Word Foundation Church International in Baka Ekyir, a suburb in Sekondi of the Western Region.
This followed a traditional marriage ceremony held a day after at Effia-Kuma, close to the 21st Clinic in Takoradi.
The two ceremonies were heavily attended by sports journalists in the Western Region, health workers and some well wishers of the newly wedded couple.
Stephen Kwame Yeboah is an astute sports broadcaster with over nineteen years of experience in the media industry.
He began his radio career at Kyzz FM somewhere in 2004 whilst he was a student at then Takoradi Polytechnic after a recommendation to the Management of the station by one Ebenezer Aidoo, popularly known as Kofi Aidoo ‘ The governor”.
He has formerly worked with Kyzz FM, Skyy Media Group (Skyy Power FM/Skyy TV), Radio Silver and with Atinka Media Village subsidiary Ahoto FM, all in Takoradi of the Western Region of Ghana.
He joined Connect FM in February 2022 as a sportscaster after leaving Ahoto FM in January 2022 and was recently appointed the Quality Assurance Officer of the station.
Kwame Yeboah is the brain behind the establishment of KY Media Consult Ltd (KYFILLA.COM, online news portal and KYFILLA TV- YouTube channel)
He holds a Master of Science (MSc.) degree in Management and Human Resource Strategy from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi and also Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing Management from Dr D.Y. Patil Vidyapeth University, Pune, India.
He also holds a Bachelor of Technology degree in Industrial Arts(Textiles) from the Takoradi Technical University, Ghana and Higher National Diploma (Textiles) option from the then Takoradi Polytechnic.
Wilhelmina on the other hand is a midwife at the Effiakwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi.
