Ghana head coach, CK Akonnor has named the country’s starting line-up o face Ethiopia in the first game of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana host Ethiopia in the first game of the world cup qualifiers at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium tonight with goalkeeper Richard Ofori starting in the posts for the West African country.
Andy Yiadom is starting the right-back role ahead of Hearts of Oak skipper Fatawu Mohammed who had a late invitation to the squad after stellar performance for the reigning Ghana Premier League champions.[ads2]
Newly-signed Reading FC left-back Abdul Baba Rahman has been given a starting berth with Leicester City ace defender Daniel Amartey pairing with Alexander Djiku in the heart of defence.
Baba Iddrisu partners Mubarak Wakado in the holding midfield whiles Jeffery Schlupp on the left side of the wings and youngster Kamaldeen Sulemana on tye right wing.[ads3]
Ghana skipper Andre Ayew will be serving as the playmaker just behind his brother Jordan Ayew in attack to complete Ghana’s starting line-up.
Kick-off time for the game is 7:00pm.
