Benjamin Afutu agrees to extend Hearts of Oak stay to 2024

Hearts of Oak midfielder Benjamin Afutu has agreed to extend his stay with the club till 2024 according to media reports.

The highly-intelligent holding midfielder who has been very pivotal in the success story of Hearts of Oak in the second round of the league, has agreed to pen down a new three-year deal with the club.[ads2]

Afutu has a few months left on his contract at Hearts of Oak and was reported to have traveled to Azerbaijan before the start of the second phase of the season but later joined his teammates at the Pobiman training grounds.

He has been one of the consistent players for Hearts of Oak in the second round of this season league under coach Samuel Boadu, contributing greatly to the team’s title triumph.[ads3]

In the second phase of the league season alone, Benjamin Afutu has netted five goals with three assists to his credit.[ads4]

His presence in the Hearts of Oak midfield adds more balance to the team, making them arguably the club with the best of midfield this season in the Ghana Premier league.

Since joining Hearts of Oak in 2017 from fellow Ghana Premier league outfit Karela United, Benjamin Afutu has been incredible to the Phobian squad.[ads5]
