Legon Cities FC head coach Bashir Hayford has expressed his excitement to coach legendary striker Asamoah Gyan at the club.
Asamoah Gyan joined Legon Cities FC on a loan deal prior to the commencement of the 2020/21 league season in Ghana.[ads2]
Since joining Legon Cities, the Black Stars all-time leading topscorer has capped only a game for the club after three matches and he is yet score.
But coach Bashir Hayford who joined the club few days ago has said he is happy to be coaching the former Sunderland attacker at Legon Cities FC.[ads3]
“I am happy to manage a great player like Asamoah Gyan. I picked him way back when I was selecting young talents for a tournament and to be honest, it’s great to see him achieve all that he has done. He will be key for us going forward at this club”, Bashir Hayford said at a zoom meeting on Friday afternoon.
Coach Bashir Hayford will be at the dugout for Legon Cities FC for the very first time against Dreams FC at the Theater of Dreams in Dawu this weekend.[ads5]
