At least 21 dead after deadly storm causes havoc in several US states

Over the Memorial Day weekend, a slew of strong storms tore through the central and southern United States, killing at least 21 people and leaving a path of destroyed homes, businesses, and power outages in their wake.

The powerful storms swept over the central and southern U.S. during the holiday weekend.

The storms left a wide trail of destruction across Texas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas after obliterating homes and destroying a truck stop where drivers took shelter during the latest deadly weather to strike the central U.S

The deadly storms, which were located just north of a brutal early-season heat wave that broke records from south Texas to Florida, claimed lives in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Kentucky.
