Asante Kotoko have opened negotiation talks with Medeama SC for the sale of midfielder Justice Blay.
Blay joined Kotoko on a season-long loan deal from Medeama SC in July 2019 prior to the Porcupines CAF Champions League campaign.
Since joining the Porcupine Warriors, Justice Blay has been a core figure in the team and arguably the best defensive midfielder in the just truncated Ghana Premier League season.

He has become a preferred choice for coach Maxwell Konadu in the Asante Kotoko midfield, forming a solid partnership with Mudasiru Salifu and Kwame Adom Frimpong.
Due to his impressive form at the club, management of Asante Kotoko have begun negotiations with the parent club of the defensive midfielder (Medeama) for his permanent sale.

“Medeama have received a letter from Kotoko on negotiating to sign Blay, while Medeama have responded to the letter and willing to negotiate with them”, Patrick Akoto, the PRO for Medeama SC told Fox FM.
Patrick Akoto revealed that Medeama SC have received offers for the midfielder but will deliberate on them before letting the player leave.
“We will consider various offers on the table for [Justice] Blay before a decision will be taken on his move away from Medeama.
“We are into football for business reasons but not for charity. Regardless, we will consider the interest of the player first before a decision will be taken on him”, he added.
