Head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, CK Akonnor has named a strong line-up to face South Africa in 2022 World Cup qualifiers on Monday evening.
Ghana face South Africa in second game of the world cup qualifiers at the famous FNB Stadium in Johannesburg today at 4:00PM.[ads2]
The Black Stars will need nothing less than a draw in today’s game to boost chances of qualifying from the group stage to the knockout round of the qualifiers.
With players like Jordan Ayew, Jeffery Schlupp, Baba Rahman, Daniel Amartey, Andy Yiadom not able to travel with the squad due to coronavirus restrictions, coach CK Akonnor has parading a strong squad to square off with the Bafana Bafana.[ads3]
Richard Ofori has been handed the opportunity once again in the sticks for Ghana ahead of Lawrence Ati Zigi and Hearts of Oak goalie Richard Attah.
Hearts of Oak skipper Fatawu Mohammed has been handed the starting berth at the right side of the defence while Gideon Mensah starts the left back role.[ads4]
Alexander Djiku and Jonathan Mensah form partnership in the heart of defence with Mubarak Wakaso, Emmanuel Lomotey, Majeed Ashimeru and Yaw Yeboah in midfield while Joel Fameyeh and Andre Ayew forms the attack.
