Black Stars legend Abukari Gariba has been announced dead.
The legendary Ghanaian striker died on Saturday afternoon after battling a short illness.[ads2]
Abukari Gariba died at the age of 81.
The former Asante Kotoko goal poacher is said to have gone blind before joining His maker on Saturday.[ads3]
Abukari Gariba played an instrumental role when Asante Kotoko clinched the CAF Champions League for the very first time in some fifty years ago.[ads4]
He scored the opener for Asante Kotoko in the 1971 CAF Champions League final game against Englebert (TP Mazembe) where the Porcupines won 2:1 to lift the trophy.[ads5]
