Goldfields Ghana Limited have supported the Black Stars with $300,000 ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar which starts later this month.[ads2]
This was announced by the Ministry of Youth and Sports in Accra on Thursday, November 10, 2022.
Ghana is among the five African countries to partake in the mundial.
Ghana is in group H of the World Cup alongside Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea.[ads3]
Meanwhile, Ghana coach Otto Addo is expected to announce the country’s final 26-man squad for the tournament on Monday, November 14 as announced by the Ghana Football Association.

The Borussia Dortmund assistant coach earlier named a 55-man provisional list last Friday and will drop 29 players in the final squad.[ads4]
The 26 players will leave Ghana for Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on November 14 for the final preparations where they will Switzerland in a pre-World Cup friendly on November 17 before traveling to Qatar for the mundial.
Ghana is expecting to make it to the semifinal stage or even to the final of the World Cup despite being the lowest ranked country among the 32 that have qualifed for the tournament.
Ghana will face Portugal in the first game on November 24 before playing South Korea and Uruguay in the final game of the group stage.[ads5]
