The Economic Community of the West African States (ECOWAS) has released a statement on the police brutalities ongoing in Nigeria.
Nigeria has seen no peace in the past few weeks after citizens protested against police brutalities in the country.

The unease rest in the West African country has led to lost of many lives as military personnel have reportedly attacked the #EndSARS protestors.
About forty people were killed in Lagos in the last days by a reported military personnel.

The intension in the country has grew worse after military personnel shot unarmed protestors at Lekki tollbooth on Tuesday evening.
This led to calls for the ECOWAS and AU to take action as soon as possible for peace to prevail in the country.

In a statement, ECOWAS is urging the protestors to remain calm and has sent condolences to families who have lost their relatives from the protest.
