Former Asante Kotoko coach, CK Akonnor has denied reports that, he has been appointed the head coach for the Guinea national team.
It was earlier making rounds in the local media that, the 45-year old has been appointed the head coach for the Guinea national team on a three-year deal, after a successful interview in Conakry.
But the former Fortuna Koln midfielder, has denied the reports, indicating that he has only been shortlisted for interview.

The Guinea Football Federation parted ways with former national team coach, Paul Put after their elimination from the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Kyfilla.com understands, the likes of former Leicester City gaffer Claudio Ranieri, alongside Florent Ibenge and Paulo Duarte have all been shortlisted for the vacant role.
Akonnor has been unattached after parting ways with Asante Kotoko few months ago after guiding them to NC Special Competition tier I triumph.
He has previously coached Sekondi Eleven Wise, Hearts of Oak, Ashgold Sporting Club and Asante Kotoko.
