Ghana FA President, Kurt Okraku is optimistic that there will be peace in the Black Stars dressing room with Milovan Rajevac as head coach.
The Serbian was unveiled as the new Black Stars head coach on Friday at the Ghana FA Secretariat for a period of twelve months subject to renewal.[ads2]
The 67-year old has been appointed the new Black Stars head coach after the sacking of CK Akonnor over poor performance.
Rajevac has returned to Ghana to takeover the coaching after a first stint from 2008-2010, taking Ghana to it first AFCON final after many years.[ads3]
And the Ghana FA capo believes Milovan Rajevac will have a control of the dressing room considering his pedigree as coach.
“With coach Milo [Milovan Rajevac], Black Stars dressing room is safe. He controlled when Michael Essien, Stephen Appiah, Asamoah Gyan, John Mensah, John Paintsil and all other big players were in camp. With Milovan Rajevac, the Black Stars is stable going forward”, Kurt Okraku said during the unveiling.
He opined that the former Algeria coach is the best that has ever handled the Black Stars and with a massive support he will succeed in his second term as head coach of the Black Stars.[ads4]
“Milovan Rajevac is the best coach Ghana has ever employed if you ask me, because he took us to the AFCON final and quarter-final of the World Cup same year in South Africa. At his time, we witnessed the best of performance of our senior national team. All we need to do now is to support the process”, he added.
Coach Milovan Rajevac has been tasked to qualify Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar and probably lift the AFCON trophy for the country after 39 years of not laying hands on the prestigious trophy.[ads5]
