Former Black Princesses midfielder Ernestina Abambila has clinched her first trophy with Swedish second tier side Assi IF.
The 20-year old attacking midfielder helped the Risogrund based-club to beat Infjardens 2-0 in the finals of the Norrbotten Cup on Tuesday.
The former Hasaacas Ladies star lasted the full throttle in the final game and played an instrumental role in the team’s victory today.
She joined the Swedish second tier side earlier this year after an illustrious season with Greek side Aris Thessaloniki
Abambila after a stellar professional career with Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies, where she won 3 National Women’s League title has had stints with FC Minsk and Aris Thessaloniki in Belarus and Greece respectively.
She played in the 2017-18 UEFA Women’s Champions League, where she registered her name as the first Ghanaian to score in the competition against Slovenia’s Ljubljana.
