Ghana Premier League giant Asante Kotoko have revealed how much Trellesborg IF paid for the services of talisman Abdul Fatawu Safiu.
The 25-year old attacker has joined the Swedish second tier side on a loan deal with option to sign three years contract.
According to the Public Relations Officer for the Porcupine Warriors, Kennedy Boakye Ansah, Abdul Fatawu was released for a loan fee of $35,000 for a period of four month.
“Fatawu Safiu was released by Asante Kotoko for a loan fee of $35,000 for a period of FOUR months”, Boakye Ansah told Angel FM.
Abdul Fatawu earned the attention of many clubs following his exploits with Asante Kotoko in last season’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign and in the just ended NC Special Competition.
He netted 10 goals for the Porcupine Warriors in the NC Special Competition tier 1 and was a joint topscorer with Karela United youngster Charles Diawisie Taylor.
This will be the second time the dead-ball specialist has moved to Sweden after loan spell with Vimmerby IF in 2013.
Abdul Fatawu has previously played for Ghana Premier League sides Liberty Professionals, Inter Allies and Techiman Eleven Wonders, Portland Timbers in the United States, Whitecaps FC and Shirak.
