The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has reportedly proposed new date for the commencement of the 2020/2021 league season in the country.
Due to the novel Coronavirus, the 2019/20 league season was cancelled by the Executive Council of the Ghana FA after a marathon meeting weeks ago.

But Kumasi-based Fox FM have reported that, the Ghana FA in their recent meeting, have proposed first week of October, 2020 for the commencement of the 2020/2021 league season barring any unforeseen circumstances.
Per their report, the Ghana FA has proposed mid of August, 2020 for Congress before the league season will commence.

Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko and AshantiGold SC will be representing Ghana in next season’s CAF inter-club competitions after the 2019/20 league season was cancelled.

Asante Kotoko will partake in the CAF Champions League while AshantiGold SC will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.
