Former Asante Kotoko head coach, Maxwell Konadu has revealed the reason why the club lost this season’s league title to rivals Hearts of Oak.
According to the ace tactician, disunity in the club was the reason why they couldn’t lift the 2020/21 Ghana Premier league title.
Speaking on Nhyira FM in Kumasi, coach Maxwell Konadu stated emphatically that there is no unity among the playing body, the technical team and even the management hence the team’s failure to win the league title.
“Lack of unity cost Kotoko the league title, there was no unity among the players, technical team and all others who matter at the club”, he said.
Asante Kotoko came close to winning the Ghana Premier league title this season but unfortunately lost it to bitterest rivals Hearts of Oak who last won the trophy in 2009.
Losing to Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko failed to win any of their last three games which saw them losing the race to Hearts of Oak.
