There has been a huge debate in the media on whether the $500,000 should be given to only the sixteen women’s premier league clubs and leave behind the other divisions.
Speaking to www.kyfilla.com, the bankroller and Chief Executive Officer of Valued Girls Academy, Mr. Paul Amponsah Freeman has appealed to the Ghana FA to consider the lower tier female clubs when sharing the $500,000.
“I will applaud FIFA and the Ghana FA for securing a fund for women’s Football. I have not heard of this in my life as a football administrator”, he said.
“But I will appealed to them [GFA] to consider the lower tier clubs because we are also suffering. This Corona has affected us too and we will need the money to also support the players who have been affected by this Coronavirus”, he added.
