Ashantigold Sporting Club forward, Shafiu Mumuni says his side will beat regional rivals Asante Kotoko anywhere they meet.
Shafiu captained the Miners to trounced Asante Kotoko in the semi-finals of the NC Special Competition tier 2 on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Speaking after the sounding victory yesterday, the 24-year old believes Ashantigold will continue to beat the Porcupine Warriors regardless of the venue.
“We were shocked by Karela at our home last Sunday but all the same, we tried to forget about that game. We came back strongly against Kotoko because it was another opportunity for us to make history for ourselves. This is our destiny so we needed to grab it. Any time or anywhere we meet Kotoko, either in Kumasi or Accra, we will make sure our 3 points are secured”, he told Otec FM.
Meanwhile, Ashgold after beating Asante Kotoko 3:1 yesterday will face division one side, Nzema Kotoko in the finals of the NC Special Competition tier 2 to battle for a ticket to represent Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
