The calls for John Dramani Mahama to lead the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2024 general elections has gotten intensed with many believing presenting the former president as candidate will help the party to win power from the ruling New Patriotic Party.
As to who lead the party in the next elections has been a topic for discussion on most media platforms with many expressing their view that John Dramani Mahama is the only candidate to win power for the NDC.
Recently, personalities like Ernest Norgbey who is the MP for Ashiman Constituency have all been calling for John Dramani Mahama to lead the party in the next general elections.
Adding his voice to the numerous calls is former District Chief Executive for Atwima Nwabiagya, Nana Asare Bediako.
According to Mr. Bediako, Mahama has had a lot of achievements that Ghanaians can relate to hence the NDC should made him their flagbearer for the next general elections.
“In all honesty, if we look at what former President Mahama has done for Ghana which we all can attest to them, I can boldly say that NDC as a party if we want to progress and win power, we should bring back former President Mahama to lead the party in the 2024 general elections,” he said on Peace FM.
He was of the view that, “it will help us a lot and so I am one of those who are calling for the comeback of former President John Dramani Mahama to lead the NDC to the 2024 general elections.”
