Asante Kotoko showed enough muscles as they defeated arch rivals Hearts of Oak in week six of the Ghana Premier League.

It was a cracker of a match as both sides showed enough eagerness to snatch the full three points.
Despite having the majority of their supporters at the stadium today, Hearts of Oak continued to suffer Kotoko dominance in their clash.
Justice Blay broke the deadlock for the Porcupine Warriors in the 7th minute of the clash with a perfect header from Patrick Yeboah’s free-kick.
The Phobians were a pale shadow of themselves in the early minutes of the cracker which saw most of their supporters worried.
But Hearts of Oak came back strong with fierce performance from the likes of Joseph Esso, Emmanuel Nettey and co.
The first forty-five minutes ended 0:1 in favor of Kotoko who were delight to watch.
Coach Nii Odoom’s boys came in strong in the second half, creating glaring opportunities and mounting a fierce pressure on the defenders of the Porcupines.

In the 64th minute, Joseph Esso registered the equaliser for the Phobians with a perfect header from a rebound.
As if Kotoko were going to defend till the blast of the final whistle, coach Maxwell Konadu’ side regrouped to attack.
Kotoko were awarded a penalty in the dying embers of the cracker which Naby Keita converted the ball beautifully to give Kotoko the lead.
The game eventually ended 1:2 in favor of Asante Kotoko which means that have annexed twelve points in the ongoing league campaign so far.
